Are you passionate about people and driven to make a difference? We’re looking for a talented and experienced human resources professional to join our team for a full-time position with a 17-month term (with the possibility of extension) based out of the Peace River, AB office. As our HR Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and thriving work environment for our paramedics.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s values and business goals
- Leadership of all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement and performance management, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all tasks
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures
- Advise the Senior Leadership Team on HR trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide innovative recruitment approaches for attracting and retaining staff
- Drive initiatives that support a healthy, engaged, and communicative workplace culture
- Lead investigations and dispute resolution processes in line with legal frameworks; collaborate with legal counsel as required
- Lead the WCB and disability claims process; manage return to work plans
- Coach and mentor managers and employees; provide guidance on employee relations and conflict resolution to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment
Position Requirements and Skills
- 5 years of HR experience, with 3 years in a leadership role preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related discipline preferred.
- CPHR designation and experience in the healthcare sector are assets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and a 3-year history driver’s abstract
- Clean criminal record check
