Project’s Supervisor

Advanced Paramedic Ltd. (APL) is a designated provider for flight, ground, clinic, and industrial Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The Project’s Supervisor will be reporting directly to the Acting Operations Manager. The Projects Supervisor for APL is responsible for leading and
coordinating the following projects: NEMT, Industrial, Mobile Assessment, Special Events, Ground Ambulance, and new projects as assigned by APL. This role will oversee and supervise the Projects Assistant who is responsible for the onboarding process, maintenance, and inspections.


Position will consist of a cross shift with 8 days on and 6 days off and be based out of the Peace River, Alberta Headquarters building located at
8703 75st on the West Hill.

  • Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientations for the specified divisions.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and Safe Work Procedures
  • Participate in Health and Safety meetings, participate in Project’s incident investigations and implementing Health and Safety requirements to mitigate risks.
  • Promote continuous health and safety, review incidents and investigations to find and negate root causes. Issue health and safety bulletins as needed.
  • In conjunction with the Health & Safety Contractor, evaluate and monitor the workplace for maintenance of Certificate of Recognition (COR).
  • Monitoring employees to ensure they are current with their employment requirements by using the APL supplied software DATS.
  • Manage employee relations and performance management in the specified divisions.
  • Coach and provide career development advice, encourage work/life balance for areas of supervision.
  • Responsible for completing staff schedules and keeping EMS Manager current
  • In the occurrence where no NEMT drivers are available, the Projects Supervisor is responsible to complete the trips wherever possible.
  • Be fiscally responsible, seeking prior authorization for purchases above the authorized limit and preparing purchase orders prior to spending within limits.
  • Responsible for overseeing and ordering consumable supplies.
  • Responsible for kit/vehicle/ambulance/base inventory and stock levels
  • Conduct team meetings and activities to enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Responsible for overseeing and approving rate sheets/quotes.
  • Complete position advertisement requests and offer letter requests.
  • Create and update job descriptions for the specified divisions.
  • Educate and train staff on the completion of service tickets, industrial paperwork, fuel logs, vehicle cleanliness, timesheets, incident reporting, patient care reports, inventory checks, vehicle inspections and expense forms.
  • Responsible for purchasing, using a company credit card, and completing visa reconciliation forms with the included Pos and receipts.
  • Approve expenses, timesheets, and days off requests.
  • Create excellent client relationships.
  • Work with clients and contracted partners to meet operational needs and requirements.


  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • PCP practice permit is an asset.
  • Supervisor experience is an asset.
  • Clean drivers abstract and criminal record check.
