“Yesterday morning we got on the road at 0800 sharp. There was a cool chill in the morning but it quickly subsided when we descended to a much lower elevation. In fact, when we arrived in Mesquite, Nevada I had to lose the jeans and put my shorts on.
It was a beautiful drive through the canyons which is hard to describe. I highly suggest the experience.
We went through Las Vegas but didn’t stop which was probably a good thing. We arrived in Lake Havasu at about 3:30 pm which was so nice. We had an early evening to finally relax. Tim and I have a mutual friend living here so we went to visit him later last night – Mr Ellery Murphy.
We are leaving Lake Havasu shortly for Nogales / Mexican border. We will cross the border into Mexico tomorrow morning.”
