“It was a very long day yesterday waiting for border security to allow us through. We ended up waiting 7 hours and 12 minutes exactly. I know this because we had a Rotary bet (no lottery license) on how long it would take. Norm Lafleur won the $200USD.
We played games, talked, had lunch in and out of the buses and some of us had naps. It’s frustrating but part of the process.
It was dark when we finally crossed and made our way to the Fiesta Inn which was only 5 minutes past the border. It was nice not to have to drive after that wait.
Believe it or not, this wait was quite reasonable compared to previous years. We had to get creative which I won’t get into on here.
Today we drive to Navajoe, Mexico. About a 7 hour drive.”
