Position Information

  • Minimum starting day rate of $650.00
  • Casual, as needed
  • Accommodations provided
  • Shared company vehicle for travelling from Grande Prairie, AB
  • Providing Advanced Medical Intervention in a Clinical Setting

Responsibilities

  • Assess the extent of injuries or illness to determine medical treatment
  • Perform and interpret vital signs and cardiac monitoring
  • Administer pre-hospital emergency care, including CPR, oxygen, bandaging, splinting, and the treatment of trauma patients
  • Maintain airways with intubation and surgical airways
  • Administer medications for the treatment of medical conditions and management of acute pain
  • Document and record the nature of injuries and treatment provided
  • Ensure clinic room, medical bags, and equipment are properly equipped and are fully supplied
  • Administration of antibiotics and other medications
  • Suturing of minor wounds
  • Ability to remain firm, reassuring, and efficient in moments of crises
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Strong leadership abilities • Strong desire to help those in need
  • Must be punctual and handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
  • Attend safety “tailgate” meetings as needed
  • Create Emergency Response Plans and set up STARS landing sites
  • Communicate with clients on behalf of APL, and complete tasks requested by clients as required
  • Filling out and Submitting service tickets

Qualifications

  • ACP Practice Permit
  • Valid Class 4 Driver’s License
  • 3-year Driver’s Abstract
  • Valid BLS & ACLS
  • H2S Alive
  • Clean Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Clean Criminal & Vulnerable Sector Record
  • Immunizations Record for Mumps/Measles/Rubella
